I want to pay tribute to the things women have loved. These things are items they purchased, were passed down to them or were given to them in an act of love. These items are something they looked at everyday and made them smile or gave them comfort.
When I walk into an estate sale, I am not there as a scavenger. I am there to rescue items that families don't wish to keep. Each home tells a story. And as I walk through it I create my characters. But, the story often stops — stuck in a time period. Stuck one day where everything just stopped.
So, I end up buying more than I can keep. Or something that I don't have a place for.
My garage is slowly becoming a storage unit. As I walk along the shelves, I see things that I have seen in so many inspiring photos. These items are there waiting to find a new use and new home to love them.
Through this blog, I am going to document my finds and give inspiration for ways to use them.
Some, I am sure I will keep. Others, I am going to sell on an etsy site.
You are welcome to take a look. But, you have to promise to love, honor and obey them.
